As Business Coordinator, Kartik is responsible for the smooth running of the 'engine room' at Wellington UniVentures.
He works closely with the Executive Team to ensure the organisation’s systems, tools, and processes are effective and fit for purpose. Kartik plays a key role in developing and supporting the use of technology platforms such as Zoho CRM, SharePoint, and Oracle to drive better business outcomes.
Kartik also supports the Commercialisation and IP teams with managing Commissioned Research and Advisory (CRA) contracts and project information. He contributes to improving system efficiency, overseeing data quality, and building staff capability through training and user support. In addition, he provides coordination across core operations including health and safety, onboarding, procurement, and recruitment.
Kartik has spent most of his career in the public sector, starting with the Singapore Civil Defence Force and, more recently, Legal Aid Services in Wellington. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (E-commerce and Management) and a Master of Information Management from Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
In his spare time, Kartik enjoys sci-fi movies and video games, and is a big fan of both Marvel and DC universes.
